I'm posting the Morning Deals this week while Ben's away. I'm curious: what kinds of deals would you most like to see?

user-pic

Both of my Guitar Hero Les Paul guitars have given me issues. The tilt sensor in one doesn't work at all, the other one seems to always think it is tilted.

Also, the point where the neck detaches causes some of the buttons to fail sometimes. I guess the connection isn't as tight as it should be.

I'd rather stick to the wired one or my Rock Band guitar as the necks do not detach.

user-pic

Just keep them coming like you all always do, I love seeing the morning post every morning! FYI woot.com is two 4 Tuesday tomorrow :-D

user-pic

I'll add lots of games are on sale via Valve-I grabbed Bioshock for $5 and Crazy Machines II as well.

user-pic

@Chris Walters:

Video games and accessories . . . maybe some nice after christmas clothing specials . . . Thanks!

user-pic

@Chris Walters: I'm looking for a new TV. TV deals are nice. I do enjoy a good mix, however. It's never too early to shop for birthdays or Christmas for next year.

user-pic

@Jack Doyle: The one I had for Wii worked PERFECTLY. I then traded for the PS3 version and the strum bar doesn't work nearly as well.

user-pic

@Chris Walters: cant go wrong with media and food. Everyone consumes them. Clothes is always good if it is actually a good deal.

Otherwise anything that is priced especially good/unusually low is welcome. I agree with Omnizerro, I also enjoy a good mix.

user-pic

@Chris Walters: Housewares!!! Dog stuff!!! Food!!! and Clothes!!!
YAY
I love morning deals!

user-pic

@Coles_Law: Same here.

I picked up Bioshock as well. My computer can't even handle Bioshock yet. I figure $4.99 is as cheap as it will get.

I also bought a couple people Portal as a gift.

user-pic

Yes, the Valve deals are great. I bought Bioshock ($5!!) and Left 4 Dead.

Left 4 Dead is really entertaining. A good purchase!

user-pic

Personally I always get a kick out of the little weird things for under five bucks.

user-pic

@Jack Doyle: Seconded on the buttons failing; mine seems to be an issue with the button, not the neck - only works when pressed just right.

user-pic

@Chris Walters: What I'd REALLY like to see more of in Morning Deals are coupon codes for popular stores, not just specific items that are on sale.

user-pic

@Chris Walters: A Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I check every day here for a deal on one since I have the money saved and everything. I just don't want to pay an extra $50 for my choice of color.

user-pic

@Chris Walters: Free stuff, or anything with a serious discount, triggering my "buy" response. Coupon codes are the best. Electronics and housewares are good to find deals on.

user-pic

Anyone know if buying Doom 2 on Steam delivers encrypted files or not? I'd much rather run the WAD file through one of the open-source hardware-accelerated mouselook-enabled versions.

I remember buying Uplink and was massively disappointed that user mods and updates were not compatible because it's all encypted and locked down.

user-pic

It's been years since I've played a PC game. Anyone know the minimum realistic specs needed to play Doom 2?

My best computer now is a rather standard-ish Dell desktop, no high-end vid card or exorbitant amounts of memory (1GB)... will it play?

user-pic

@Chris Walters:

I would love to see a great deal on a 32" Flat screen TV, preferably 1080p.

user-pic

@Suttin: sharp 32" 1080p from newegg for $599..

[forums.slickdeals.net]

should still be working

user-pic

I would totally buy that Les Paul wireless guitar for my wii so I could play with my friends... if I had any.

user-pic

@Applekid: I want to know this as well. I was thinking of buying DOOM for the WAD file to run on my phone.

user-pic

@TheBovaEffect: maybe tomorrow there will be some deals on friends

user-pic

I always like to see at least 1 home theater-y type listing (wireless speakers, or TV, or blu-ray, etc). Then maybe comp hardware like newegg stuff

user-pic

@Suttin: @savvy9999:

unless you're computer is 20 years old, you're fine. trust me.

user-pic

@KyleOrton: What's the difference in taste between Infant and Adult Ketchup?

user-pic

@Chris Walters: French Post-modern Paintings, Inflatable furniture, and Nerf shaving kits.

user-pic

I'd love to give Valve some money, but their system wont let me create an account..

user-pic

@Chris Walters: iphone - discounts and free apps n music

user-pic

I bought the $1 Doom program as I remembered how much fun it was in the past.

Turns out I played Doom95 which had great graphics. The package Valve sells is low resolution - really tough on the eyes. You get what you pay for.

user-pic

@Jack Doyle:
Second on the tilt sensor for Wii ... you think they'd be smart enough to use the gyroscope in the wiimote but nooooooo that's too easy

More deals On laptops!
