Fannie May: 1lb Assorted Chocolate
"Oooh, let's try this one. Oh, yuck...it tastes like a low-doc Alt-A with a 3-year interest only teaser. What the f*ck? OK, here's another one. The box says this should be Chocolate Fudge Delight. BLECH, I can't believe Fannie May has been packing fudge like this for all these years and nobody said anything!"
@LMAO-SteveDave loves this guy->★: The last time I saw an actual Fannie May store was about 10 years ago. They used to give out free samples, After you had the sample, you knew NOT to buy the fudge. So overly sweet and rich! I'm feeling a little sick just thinking about it!
@LMAO-SteveDave loves this guy->★:
When I was first shopping for a condo, I wondered what the hell a candy company had to do with mortgages!
@LMAO-SteveDave loves this guy->★: i'm pretty sure chocolates and packaging mortgages are positively correlated so that can't be right.
@Miss_Siri: There used to be (and possibly still is, I don't live there any more) a Fannie May store in the Laurel Mall in Hazleton, PA.
When all the hub-bub regarding the home mortgage crisis came to the fore, I had the opposite reaction that everyone here is having now: "Why's a candy store selling home loans?"
@janetcarol: Let me ask you something. Is this a business decision, or is it personal? 'Cause if it's business I'll go away happily. But if it's personal, I'll go away... but I won't be happy.
@LMAO-SteveDave loves this guy->★: No, Fannie Mae does not sell chocolate. Fannie May, however does.
@Glamourdammerung: It's those lousy terms they use instead of the proper acronyms or titles. FNMA = Fannie Mae? Is it that hard to just say "FNMA" or Federal National Mortgage Association?
And how does "FHLMC" become "Freddic Mac"?
@IrvCrapper: Not quite the same when you're giving it as a gift. Hey, maybe that's it. Maybe we should do to the Japanese what they do in their movies. Build a miniature city, put it outside the window, tell them it's far away. It'll look real if you squint.
@IrvCrapper: You also have to watch the ads. And have a fast system. And as I am not sure, can you rip Hulu videos onto your iPod?
@LMAO-SteveDave loves this guy->★: Also, as a huge AD fan, I'd like to help them move as many DVDs as possible. This will insure the AD movie is completed, and marketed properly. The more people who watch the DVD, the more will want to go see the movie.
Hell, buy one or two sets and just give them to friends or family who might like it. Tell them if they don't like it, pass it on to a friend who might.
Like pay it foward I guess. >_>
@TheLemon: You finished a whole bottle of vodka?
Well I had to, it's vodka, it goes bad once it's opened.

Why is a mortgage company selling chocolates? Are they trying to diversify?
