Happy New Year's Eve!
What a year! Today is a half-day of posts, no posts tomorrow. Posting resumes Friday. Carey might start posting as early as this Saturday. Cheers to you and yours, and here's to 2009!

@homerjay wants Boston Legal back!: Well, according to Chris's morning deals, Ben was supposed to be on vacation all week, and he's still posting, so I guess that negates them all taking morrow off.
@homerjay wants Boston Legal back!: Pretty soon we'll all be saying, "I remember back when Consumerist was a Gawker site! Back in ought-8!"
I, for one, remember Consumerist when the layout was predominantly black...but that's about as far back as I go. Something like 19-dickety-two.
@Ben_Q2:
It's not really a curl-up-to-read magazine; it;'s more of a, "hey, I need to buy a toaster two years later" thing.
Oddly I'm actually disapoitned they've decided to go so tech-heavy and away from other durable/cosumable household goods.
@MichaelLC: I read mine whenever I would normally read something.. I find it very interesting.. and the last page is usually very entertaining..
If I wasn't interested in consumer type information.. I wouldn't be here..
Anyway.. I'm glad 2008 is over... Phew.
Let's hope we don't have to say that about 2009.
@sporesdeezeez: That's when we had to use the word dickety, because the Kaiser stole the word twenty.
@SUNY_SteveDave: I don't even have to bother jumping into this. You guys have it all wrapped up. Besides, I was reading Comsumerist back when we used to tie an onion to our belts- which was the style at the time.
@homerjay wants Boston Legal back!: And nickles had bumble bees on them. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say.
@MissPeacock: So, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days.
Saw a lot of photos on NY Times, from around the world. Only New York City littered the streets with massive amounts of confetti. Everyone else was satisfied with fireworks. What will it take for us to be more environmentally conscious? The sanitation workers worked night and day to clean up the streets of junk that we threw all over the ground, and now it will fill the landfills.

Happy New Year!!!!
