All these sales are great and all.. problem is I can’t spend any money, period.
@Oranges w/ Cheese: Ugh, yeah same here. But I don’t even think the sales are all that great. Amazon’s sales suck today (as far as I can see).
@AngrySicilian: Yeah, pretty much. It sucks too, because there’s lots of Dr. Who stuff I want to buy for friends/family from thinkgeek but I can’t
It’s time to retire “Cyber” anything. It sounds so … ’90s.
@el-brazo-onofre: Next stop, Monday 2.0.
@el-brazo-onofre: That’s what I was thinking… plus “cyber monday” as a net reference to “black friday” just sounds stupid.
i might spend a few bucks today… there’s a shirt i’ve been eyeing for the better part of 2 years, and i have a close friend who is a Dr. Who fan…
Oh no, $25 minimum! Nevermind…
cyber monday? please. has anyone seen any deals even worth mentioning today?
there was some good stuff out there on the internets friday, but i hardly consider “free shipping” worth spamming my inbox for. if you aren’t offering free shipping this time of year, you aren’t getting my business.
The other day I ordered from Think Geek and they let me stack some codes. I got $5 off and also got a free RC MiniCooper. I might try this when I get home as I have a catalog sitting there. I need another ring thing as I ordered the wrong size.
The product I was going to buy is $24.99, and the coupon code is only applicable on orders $25 or more.
I’ll hang onto my money.
And yet once again it’s time to mention out loud that “Cyber Monday” is merely an urban legend.

It would be nice if the media and retailers would let the meme die gracefully.
I got a printer from buy.com for 20 bucks… it sells for 100 normally, i think. not bad.
ThinkGeek has cool stuff and cool descriptions, but it’s often just rebranded generic Chinese/Taiwanese gadgets that you can find for cheaper at other sites or eBay. The markup on even common items is pretty high. I tend to find a few things I like there, but the price is always high enough to discourage me, and free shipping won’t help.
@TVarmy: Unfortunately I found this to be true as well after falling in love with the cassette tape look a like MP3 player, it was drastically cheaper elsewhere…
I picked up a 42″ Panasonic Viera 1080p Plasma TV from NewEgg for $799.99 Wednesday during their “Pre-Black Friday” sale, so… Suck it, “Cyber Monday.”
Cool, I just got the free shipping, PLUS a “annoy-a-tron” free by using code ” 8LBB ” in addition to the one above. I bought some “spy-remotes” as stocking stuffers, a correct sized Ring-Thing, and some widget which will supposedly discharge my static w/o a shock, which will make my iPod and ears happy. Thanks again Ben.
