@Triborough: Cave? That's assuming he didn't want the guy gone to begin with. AFAIK Obama's more along with net neutrality and the like which Comcast hates
Well seeing Verizon and the big Telcom's basically owned Martin no surprise they wanted to see him moved from the informal payroll to the direct payroll of them.
This shouldn't be a shock that a politician, especially one from Chicago, would cave to a major contributor. I think that is part of the Chicago way.
