Consumerist Neighborhood eBay Garage Sale
This is a test using rich text formatting and html links. It's the generic "company" ad that should appear on all posts with the Company category if they don't have an ad attached to a specific company.

@econobiker: Yeah, except for the part where not everyone on Consumerist lives in your immediate area, and you're not supposed to ship things through Craigslist, lest you love being scammed.
@Bladefist: Wrong. Ebay is way more hoops to jump through. Besides, I think meeting the person you buy something from ensures at least some chance of not getting scammed.
Stuff I need to sell http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=170274911965&Category=56302null
@econobiker: While Craigslist is nice, it's less than ideal in a lot of ways. You can only buy what your area has. Maybe that's great if you live in NYC or LA, but I'm in Nebraska, and the variety isn't quite as good.
I've got a few World of warcraft loot cards from the trading card game available.

I'll also have some laptop ram (DDR2) up shortly... ish.
I have some random things: DVDs, a CD, some Wii accessories, a PDA phone, two calculators...
I'll be adding more stuff in the next few weeks though, mostly guitars and amps and what not. We'll see...
@HRHKingFridayXX: If you're trying to sell something clunky and valueless, then Craigslist is ideal. If it's something small, then you do yourself a disservice by letting the market determine the fair value, i.e, bidding it up. As for hoops, you fill out some information once, then you're done.
For those of you who still dare to eBay, this is a great time of year, economic bust or not. Think holiday parties, Christmas presents, etc. -- people are looking for nice clothing, gifts, electronics, decorations, etc. Sell, sell, sell! (But do check feedback ratings when doing business.) And, I know everyone seems to hate PayPal, but I find it convenient and safer than any other way. (Money orders... you can be waiting, and waiting, and the buyer says it's in the mail, and waiting... blah.) I give a 3-day limit on paying up via PayPal after auction end, else the item goes to the next highest bid.
This reminds me I should get listing items this week.
I've got a bunch of vintage 1964-65 Ford Mustang car parts, incl. steering wheel, hood ornament, gas cap, radio. Starting bid on all items is just 99 cents:

Any UAB Blazers football fans out there [left]?
Good luck to you, and pray that nobody sends you an eCheck through Paypal. The entire system is glitched right now and won't release the funds into your account (even though the funds have cleared the buyer's account and are sitting in Paypal interest-generating limbo) while sending out repeated emails telling you to upgrade to a Merchant Account since you're supposedly high volume (10K+ per month).
If you do, you could call into Paypal's CS and have them tell you they're working on it, but to not ship the item until you get the payment. No timetable, no help, and just pure annoyance.
Well, that was just the kick in the pants I needed to post this baby...
@Bladefist: LOL. Yes I literally LOL'ed at that. I am having a rough day at work. Thanks for lightening up my day Bladefist.
If anyone is in the seattle area and is into full size arcade games, I have two I'd like to sell. One is a Raiden game but the power supply (I think it's the power supply) is dead. The other is a fully working Nintendo Playchoice 10 with five games installed. I don't want to sell this, but my wife hates it :( Anyone interested?
@downwithmonstercable: What games are on it right now? That, and do you have current pictures of it?
I'm selling 6 stuff that end in 5 days and have 0 bids on them.
%50 jcpenny gift card, 400 watt CPU, CD Burner, AGP video card, heatsink fan a new XL blue Ecko shirt.
@econobiker: At least over ebay someone cant give your house away and have a swarm devour all your belongings!
I've got unopened Ninja Turtles on sale.
Throwing up two Gamecubes and a Black Dreamcast tomorrow.
Couple video games too.

@econobiker: Long live Craigslist...unless you live DON'T live in a densely populated area. I live about 50 miles from NYC and I'm trying to sell my MacBook Pro and I mostly get response by idiots that live in NYC.
