you dont have to vote to get the coffee or doughnut. its against the law to add that stipulation. they changed it to free for everyone. unfortunatly they didnt tell the franchises.
@JohnDeere: Good news for all those people who hate participating in democracy.
@JohnDeere: How’d you even prove that you voted? Are those stickers that closely guarded? I wonder if they were expecting people to show something or just say, “Yes, I voted”.
@Rectilinear Propagation: From my understanding of when I first read of this promotion (early yesterday morning), that was pretty much it. Walk in, say ‘yep, I voted’ and enjoy your hot liquified beans.
That said, this is one time where I’ll be taking advantage of the Starbucks that is only a three-minute from the Starbucks that’s a five-minute drive from my home.
@Rectilinear Propagation: well the guy asked me and i said not till tonight. stupid me lol. he gave me a free small to get me outa the store i think. i wouldnt have even went if i hadnt heard on national public radio (npr)that they had changed it to coincide with the law. worst cup of coffee ever by the way.
@Rectilinear Propagation: All of the under-12 kids who accompanied their parents to my polling place today were exiting with their very own stickers. So I’d say, no those stickers aren’t too closely guarded.
oh hell yes, I’m so getting my doughnut after I vote
Woo democracy
Do they still have Krispy Kremes in Arizona? I’m not sure. I’ll def get a coffee after I vote … I have a long party ahead of me!
No Krispy Kremes or Starbucks near me, I guess all I get for voting is the feeling that I’m participating in democracy.
The line at Starbucks was longer than the polling place line!
FogDog deal is over.
Two different national chains, two different marketing departments, and no one in either one knew it’s illegal to offer any incentive to vote? Is everyone working there from another country? I think I learned that in 7th grade. Cripes, what a failure today’s “citizens” are.
Chick-Fil-A and Ben & Jerry’s as well.
@atypicalxian: Chick-Fil-A and Ben & Jerry’s as well what?
Free stuff?
What kind of free stuff?
I like free stuff.
@tande04: Ice cream cones and chicken sandwiches, respectively. Other fress stuff for voters:

That TaylorMade deal is incredible. I’d been looking at a new driver for a while, and this finally convinced me
@Underpants Gnome: You got that right. I just ordered a new rescue wood, but at this price it’s almost worth throwing ethics to the wind, buying a bunch, and flipping them on eBay.
@Underpants Gnome: FYI, taylor made deal is dead now
@Underpants Gnome: Has your order updated at all? I’m curious as to whether I will get my order since they killed the deal.
Carey’s site also posted info on Free chick-fil-a, andf they apparently caned the promotion…
before i left, i stole one of the corporate emails that they’d taped up all over the place – i’ll scan it and send it in tomorrow.
Free donut with sprinkles? Hell yeah!
