Those of you with Macs will soon be able to use Netflix's "Watch Instantly" feature. Hooray! [CrunchGear]
This is a test using rich text formatting and html links. It's the generic "company" ad that should appear on all posts with the Company category if they don't have an ad attached to a specific company.

It requires the installation of MS' stunted answer to Quicktime, Silverlight, however.
Yet another example of Microsoft bundling to force consumers to use their less-than-Mactastic software. Couldn't they simply, y'know, produce brilliant, elegant software that people want to use w/o any sleazy behind-the-scenes marketing shenanigans?
Oh. Asked and answered.
@sc2373: Nope. Flip4Mac lets you watch .WMV files fine and dandy, but if they're DRM'd like Netflix streaming content is, then your effed.
If it were up to me, I'd have used the same streaming tech Hulu.com does (Flash, I think?), but Netflix is slow to the plate on this one.
@buckeye17: Soon. After we trim our goatees, steam our berets and finish our fourth round of Tantric sex with our significant others.
And engage in bloody fisticuffs over the Sting vs. Chris Martin debate. Because when discussing the two, are bloodied fisticuffs ever not the expected result?
@Trai_Dep: Oh, make that DRM'd Silverlight. Yay! Precisely what customers are screaming for.
It's good to see they're two for two, and it hasn't even been rolled out yet.
@MonkeyMonk: FYOI*, you can string a VGA-out cable from your Mac to your HDTV. Sound too, via the 3.5" minis. Works like a charm.
Heard of wireless for these, but have no idea of the fidelity.

@Trai_Dep: Four times. Such a feat PC users can only dream about.
Seriously though, I have been waiting for this for a looong time. Even though I have a PC, my PC is my super powerful gaming Desktop computer. If I wanna watch something conveniently, I go for the Mac.
@OhYeahAlright: Well, we're both jealous of the UNIX guys. I'm not sure how long they do it for, but MY GAWD the positions they come up with!
Think about stringing cables from one of your boxes to your HDTV (see below comment). The results are awesome!
@Trai_Dep: Yes All ya have to do is hit that one spot for just long enough...
(Ya I use Linux, thanks for the compliment!)
I actually do wonder if this will open up Netflix to Linux...
If it does, I'm set. I can be completely free of Windows.

It couldn't come soon enough. I've been waiting for over a year.
