Good deal on a flash drive, but I wouldn't trust a rebate from Circuit City.

When is Circuit City going to join Best Buy and get rid of rebates? I mean, rebates are a pain in the ass already, but the fact that you usually have to practically threaten a lawsuit to get one from CC makes it pointless. As soon as i see "with rebate" from that place, i move on.

That 20% REI discount is only valid if you are an REI member. Also, the coupon only applies to full-priced items.

I got that LED headlamp on a previous Morning Deal, and it is pretty good. I use it when I go feed my horses at night, when I go walking in the winter, and while working on computers. In all situations, it's pretty damn good.

I picked one of those up as a Newegg Shellshocker deal last week for $80 shipped. It's a solid external if you can get over the lack of Firewire and the need for a decently sized power brick. It's a heavy solid metal enclosure with the end caps being a clear silicon-ish material.

It comes formatted as FAT32 though, kinda odd for these days, so I needed to reformat it first.

@mzs: I wouldn't know. I made my own bike light, so I use that. But for walking on the side of a busy road at night w/no sidewalks, it's awesome.

It's the dogfood for little yappy-type dogs!

I wouldn't trust a handful of cash from Circuit City.

Apparently the PNY deal was a mistake, and it's now 11.99 which drops to 6.99 after the 5.00 rebate. The only plus to the rebate was you could fill it out online. I would have gotten one too at $1.99 but that's no more. ;(

@mzs: If you wear it, yes. The light will always shine where you're looking. I use one to read in bed at night or if I have to get up in the night and don't want to turn on a house light. When I was in Switzerland, I used one to light my way in the dark (and snow) from the hostel to the market so I could keep my hands in my warm pockets and avoid ice patches. Buy it. You won't be sorry.

@DanGarion: Sometimes I wish I could partake in free cat food. I have to pay $20-something a month at the vet for prescription cat food.

I'm going to check out that Acer at the local Best Buy tonight. It's exactly what I was looking for.
