Question – why should any one site get credit for a tip like this? Couldn’t you just have easily edited this to refer back to the official site?
@Sam_Wille: Agreed. Software releases are not “deals” in the first place. Free is free.
@TheStonepedo: Last time I checked, “free” was a pretty good deal.
@Ben Popken:
Free, or “free” free?
@Ben Popken: I agree. Especially when it’s such a full-functioning and well built office suite that does what Office does for 100% off the price.
@Sam_Wille: Because they told me about it.
@Ben Popken:
Your sister site told me about it. Where’s the Lifehacker love?
@Ben Popken: I use OpenOffice and appreciate you telling us. I didn’t know as I usually only read Consumerist, not the other sites.
Kohl’s Pants Deal! Great deal if you are short and chubby (only sizes are 42×30 and 40×30). Woohoo!
@Platypi:
… and if you like two truly fug colors: green and gray. Ick!
@Platypi: I have a 30″ inseam, and I’m nearly 6 foot. How is that short?
@Git Em SteveDave loves this guy–>: Stubby-legged/Short. Same/Same.
The Quicken Online video says free trial, not simply free.
@PicketFence: I think it’s because the video is old.
yeah, I’m signing up for Quickenonline … we’ll see if it’s ghetto-free-trial and not actually free. Anything that says “Try it for free!” usually worries me.
1TB external HDD for $120? If I trusted buy.com, I might have half a mind to buy that.
@Moosehawk: I’ve bought from Buy.com before and had no problem. Then again, it was a completely different item, but still it was a good experience. Now, they will spam the hell out of you. That is the only downside.
The external HDD is a pretty good deal. Don’t have the cash, but would if I could.
wow, for reference, Those belly flops are cheaper than they were at the jelly belly plant in California!
@Swizzler121: Yeah. Nuts to the recession, count me in on that deal!
@Swizzler121: Yes! Belly Flops = Irregular Jellybeans, like, when growing up, my dad would buy Irregular Hotdogs from the meat plant in town around here!
In case anyone is curious, the Lenovo Ideapad discriminates against individuals with deep set eyes…
To sign up for the free Quicken Online, you have to give them at least one valid username/password to your real bank account! What kind of moron is going to give Quicken complete online access to his/her bank account?!?
@DVnLRmxZBj5: I use QuickBooks for Enterprise…it connects to the Intertubes.
