Throughout 2009, if you show up on your birthday to any Disney theme park in the U.S., you'll get in free. Imagine how much money you can save on an awesome birthday, provided you go alone! [Orlando Sentinel] (Thanks to RL!)

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Alone is the best way to go -- you get to go in the special "I'm all alone" lines and get on rides 2.5 million times faster.

And if you are an annual passholder, they instead give you a gift card worth about just as much (about $75.) So YAY for that!

Hmm, my birthday is 1 January. I'll have to call and make sure there aren't any goofy exemptions.

If you have multiples (are you reading this Jon and Kate?) then you're in luck!!

My wife will be interested in this -- I hear Florida is lovely in January.

There's been a huge slide in quality at Disneyland the past fifteen years. The employees are slack-jawed, the prices are even more astronomical...

And I've got a family member working there, so I get in free, and I still hate it. It's a shame, actually. I had fond memories of the place when I was growing up with my siblings.

Oh snap, we were just there in July on my husband's birthday. Oh well.
