Can anyone here give me an indication of what my total cost would be if i bought tickets for 2 to and from Fort Lauderdale starting in Chicago? I can't seem to get any good information unless I join the club (this appears to be "how they getcha")
I started to book one without being in the club... it appears that the fees, if you delete insurance and club memberships comes out to $22 for the one way ticket. so does this look right?:
tickets: $36 ($9 each for 2 tickets there, $9 each for 2 tickets back)
Taxes and Fees: $44 ($22 each way)
$9 club 2 month trial membership: $9
so, thats a total of $89... am I missing anything?
@potzertommy: how did you figure out how to even select the flights to purchase without signing up for the 9 dollar fair thing...? I hate flying but if i can get a flight from Chicago to Florida for under 40 dollars... what the hell :)
@AngrySicilian: i tried to buy the tickets at regular price (over $100) just to see what the fees look like.
The Coldstone in College Park, MD isn't honoring the promotion. They are, however, raking in customers.
Instead of the free ice cream in exchange for a donation, they are offering one dollar off, and then giving you a coupon for a dollar off your next purchase. None of the purchase goes to Make-A-Wish, but they would appreciate it if you did make a donation, even if there is no bucket or other way they are visibly collecting for Make-A-Wish. I'll try to post a link to the sign in a bit.
However, they aren't even honoring the sign, if you get two orders of ice cream, they only take a dollar off the first, and only give you one coupon - the clerk said it was 'all one sale'. I stood up for myself and did manage to get the second dollar off and after a few more minutes of persistence, got the second dollar off coupon.
@CyGuy: Here is the sign.
Note, despite the cited "refrigeration issues" that prevented them from giving away Jack and Emily creations, they had all of the ingredients to make them. The only thing they were out of was Dark Chocolate ice cream, which isn't part of the two featured combinations.

It even seems, at a glance, to work on video game systems. As a test, I added a PS3 to my cart, entered the code, and for the $400 order, it said:
"You have $40.00 in gift certificates or promotional credit available for use toward this purchase. Would you like to apply it?"
