Settlement In BA-VA Price-Fixing Class Action

1569 views

You're entitled to a small refund if you bought tickets for a long haul flight on British Airways or Virgin Atlantic between August 11, 2004 and March 23, 2006. The amount is $7-$34 per flight taken. This is the settlement in a class action lawsuit contending the two airlines colluded to fix the price of fuel surcharges. More info at airpassengerrefund.com. [via RickSeaney]

Where did you dig up that Berryman cartoon at? Any kind of work portraying TR is fantastic to say the least of the man.

USA residents go to [airpassengerrefund.com] (not the .co.uk address).

I'm still waiting for my diamond money.

And my over-seas credit card fee money.

This would be a third class action I am eligible for this is a direct result of my engagement/marriage/honeymoon.

Wonder if I'll ever see any of it.

Wow, poorly edited sentence due to reckless use of cut/paste!

That should read:

This would be a third class action I am eligible for as a direct result of my engagement/marriage/honeymoon.

Wow - you might be able to put that money toward the expense of flying with a carry-on bag...

Hey, this actually applies to me! I had to check my journal archives to find out when I bought my September 2004 tickets to London, but I ordered them on August 16. $7 refund, here I come!

Without clicking to see the terms, I'd like to posit a guess:

1) $50 Million to some lawyers
2) Neither airline admits wrong-doing
3) Affected customers fill out 5 pages of paperwork, get 1 can of soda and a bag of peanuts.
