IMO, Guaranteed buyback is a rip off. Sure, they get you half what you paid for your book back. But on at least 3/4 of expensive texts I buy for myself or my brother, I can get close to the price for a good used or international editioin, and still be able to sell it to someone else (Hint: Find out what classes use the book and go in five minutes before the first class willing to sell for 10-30 percent off the bookstore prices. You'd be surprised how well this works), and thus save more than guaranteed buyback. and don't get me started on "rentals", even bigger rip off

Cheap MacBook Pro refubs is all well and good, but it's one more indication that a new model is right around the corner. They can't come soon enough!
