Cheap MacBook Pro refubs is all well and good, but it’s one more indication that a new model is right around the corner. They can’t come soon enough!
IMO, Guaranteed buyback is a rip off. Sure, they get you half what you paid for your book back. But on at least 3/4 of expensive texts I buy for myself or my brother, I can get close to the price for a good used or international editioin, and still be able to sell it to someone else (Hint: Find out what classes use the book and go in five minutes before the first class willing to sell for 10-30 percent off the bookstore prices. You’d be surprised how well this works), and thus save more than guaranteed buyback. and don’t get me started on “rentals”, even bigger rip off
