Bear Breaks Into Circuit City, Has As Much Luck Locating An Employee As You Do
Colorado Springs police say that the vandal who broke into a closed Circuit City wasn't trying to steal electronics -- it was a confused black bear.
Apparently, the bear panicked after setting off an alarm at a nearby restaurant. He smashed through the sliding glass doors of the Circuit City and hung around in the customer waiting area for awhile before exiting the same way he came in.
A surveillance camera captured the bear's shopping trip, and we have to admit, aside from smashing the sliding glass door, it looks exactly like our last shopping trip to Circuit City. Hello? Does anyone work here?

I used to work at that Circuit City on North Academy Blvd. Right now there is another issue with an African Lion roaming around El Paso County, same county as this Circuit City.
@renilyn: Yea I do to, its funny because we hear these stories all the time so we dont even care anymore.
@renilyn: I dunno about Colorado Springs, but while visiting Maine, I found out that this kind of thing (bear vandalism of windows and trash cans and such) happens quite often, so it isn't really TV news-worthy, unless there is something more important to cover, like a turn for the worst in the war in Iraq. In that case, this story would have aired to occlude the real one.
@PhilVillarreal: Benson would never have made it in, he would have been tackled for a loss.
/off to deadspin
@renilyn: Same here. I read it in a feed from a Denver paper. Typically the news stations are all over "bear invades a local neighborhood" for the cutsie story of the night.
