Still not buying one.

My stimulus payment went to pay for my semi-annual car and renters insurance bill.

Hmm.. "industry insiders" predict a price drop?

It doesn't take an insider to know that. Haha. For that past 2 or 3 years, the price of HDTV sets have declined around summer/fall, in preparation for new models and the Christmas shopping rush.

As much as I love my Sony Trinitron, I think I'm going to get an LCD HDTV this year. The promotional rate on my cable TV service is going to expire this summer and I ain't gonna keep it.

Free OTA HD/DTV broadcast, here I come!

My refund check still isn't enough to cover an HDTV :(

"Industry insiders" are also predicting a rise in prices by end of year - once the weak dollar / commodity prices trickle into the supply chain.
