Paxton Holley submitted the above Storm-Troopers-go-shopping awesomeness to The Consumerist Flickr pool. They also bought Colt 45, and Amstel Light.
Seems like a ploy to avoid showing ID.
Ha ha… Could this be that sequel to the Star Wars fanboy movie?
That is an amazing picture.
Note the shoulder pauldrons. Those are Sandtroopers, not Stormtroopers. Those boys need to dirty up their armor a bit though.
I wish I had a picture/video from the night the Phantom Menace opened. We were in Walmart. At the service desk, a guy in complete Darth Maul makeup and costume was trying to return a dual lightsaber because “it does’t make the whirring noise. Its supposed to make a whirring noise.”
That being said: total love for SW.
@Coven: The pauldrons weren’t used taht way. It was issued with equipment such as the T-21 Repeating blaster. Orange was simply the color for the troops stationed on Tatooine.
@ElizabethD: Oh god what have I become? Noooooooo……
That picture reminds me of a joke about a muslim who is told he has 40 virgins waiting for him after his suicide bombing. Ironically they weren’t the kind of virgins he was hoping for.
@valarmorghulis: well done, friend!
Hey, glad you guys liked the pics.
Thanks for the shoutout, Ben. Love the site, I read it everyday.
They brought Colt 45?
umm Lando Calrissian!
What was your first clue?
I guess I was wrong. I thought 501st standards were that pauldron = TD, since we don’t see a pauldron anywhere other than Tatooine.
Wow…doesn’t the Empire pay their troops better?
I use my Mace Windu Xpress card.Never leave Alderaan without it:)
