   These are one of my favorite features of the site, and often flag deals I had not seen elsewhere. One note on the Philips refurbished TV’s- they have some very checkered reviews. Fellow Consumerist’s may be better off with a Viseo or Olivia “budget” brand instead in that price range.

   highmodulus is right on. I bought a 50″ plasma from the Philips Outlet a couple of years back, and it died after 13 months. Refurbished products only come with a 60-day warranty, too, so I was SOL. After $700+ in repair costs, it died again two months later.

   Avoid Philips, and avoid the outlet!

   Thanks, both of you. That $844 price on a 47″ 1080p LCD was really tempting, but these comments made me take a step back.

   I noticed this month’s Bed, Bath & Beyond mail coupon was for only $10 off a $30 or more purchase, not their typical 20% off any one item. Could this have to do with Linens ‘N Things business troubles?

   Phillips Outlet is a nightmare. Bought a plasma TV from them that came without its stand. Took me DAYS on the phone to get them to send on and it was the wrong model. Never did get the right one. Avoid!
