''Everything will be brand new.'' - Gilbert Fiorentino, CEO of TigerDirect, on his company's takeover of the remaining CompUSA stores. [Miami Herald]

This is a test using rich text formatting and html links. It's the generic "company" ad that should appear on all posts with the Company category if they don't have an ad attached to a specific company.

In what sense will ANYTHING be brand new?

Perhaps they're referring to all that "open box" crap that CompUSA used to sell for almost 10% off an inflated price of the highest street cost or MSRP, whichever is higher.

One would think everything would have to be brand new.

TigerDirect's disdain for the customer is clearly brand new to those who were already used to CompUSA's brand of disdain.

Like snowflakes, each turd is ... brand new!

One of my problems with CompUSA was that there was less and less actual computer stuff, there, and more and more phones and video games. TVs. Meanwhile, if you actually want to buy a raid 5 card in the store, too bad. At best, they might have had a ten-year old, dusty Raid-0 ISA card tucked in a corner...

I wonder if they'll have brand new rebate deals with a brand new rebate company that won't fulfill any of them until I call the BBB

Coming from someone who had experience with TigerDirect over a period of time for small and mid-size businesses, I'd have to say this is a horrible customer service scenario. TigerDirect has quite a negative reputation in the community of tech professionals down here in Florida.
