Discover The Fairsley Difference!

This fake ad-battle from "Mr. Show"—a big city supermarket chain squares off against a naïve local grocer—perfectly captures a certain type of aggressive, scorched-earth advertising style usually reserved for political campaigns.

Mr. Show with Bob & David was always one of my favorite shows. It's good to see them again!

"My grandfather started this company with one single rickety, leaky, handcrafted slave ship."

such douchebaggery angers me greatly.

it was funny, don't get me wrong, but on the other kind of the coin, i feel a little stabby.

I love Mr. Show...especially the commercial for the Bag Hutch.

At the risk of piling on, Mr. Show was the best.

Hell yeah, Mr. Show! Back in high school, my friends and I taped every single Mr. Show, then had a Mr. Show marathon. My favorite sketch is the roller coaster that kills everyone, but then again, I love basically every sketch. Remember Ronny Dobbs!
Those were the days people, those were the party daayyyyssss

The local ford dealership, Don Seelye, is using Obama's catchphrase "Yes We Can" for their latest TV ad. I wish I had video capture set up.

I made myself a Pit-Pat costume for Halloween last year. It was pretty sweet.

"And god and the bible and stuff ...."

Brilliant show. I have every episode on DVD.

'I don't come down to where you work and slap the dick out of your mouth...'

Also, is it sad that Fairsley still seems like a better option than what we have today?

@TKWarrior: Sorry for the confusion. I'm a big Mr. Show fan. We used to quote it a lot back in the day. Thanks for posting the clip kelmeister.

A Mr. Show reference?? Could this blog get any better?

"You shouldn't try to fly and you shouldn't listen to British people!"

Easily one of the best comedy shows ever.

Absolutely the best sketch comedy show of all time.

"Paul, will you tell everybody what you said to me?"

"Please don't kill me!"

"Awww! You see? This is why I do this. For the kids!"
