Now mind you, I'm glad she was arrested, if she felt so bad about it then BOO frikin HOO, don't do the crime, moron. BUT, charging her with criminal possession of stolen property? After she returned it? Sure, the robbery charge, I'm all for. But it seemed like her actions basically negated the need for a criminal possession charge.

do you think i can sue paypal for criminal possession of stolen property, according the NY penal code, stolen property is property that has been wrongfully taken, withheld, or obtained, from an owner with the intent to deprive the person..." seems to me thats what paypal does all the time then makes money on it.....
@vr4z06gt: This is probably federal, since the feds almost always have jurisdiction on bank robberies. If you want to press charges, call your local US Attorney's office. Remember though, these guys are the ones who got fired for not prosecuting democrats and/or prosecuting republicans.
She said she was sorry, I don't see why there's a big stink about it.
She would have been caught anyway... the cops recognized her from her bank robbery arrest in 2004. This way, maybe the D.A. will cut her a break.

@humphrmi: Granted my knowledge of the justice system comes from The Practice reruns but they usually seem to throw everything at the accused and then charges get dropped in plea bargins. I gurantee this woman gets a deal.
@Youthier: I'm pretty aware of that practice too. And, again, I think this moron should go to prison. But I'm a bit concerned about our justice system when the "pile on" charges start to include charges that are seemingly not valid...
No, robbing the bank is better than petty theft. If you rob a bank, you're going to federal prison. Steal a purse or a $3 steak, and you're going to state prison. Ours is the nasty facility in Atmore, down in South Alabama. No air conditioning. Horrid food. Not just incompetent, but malicious medical care. And that's only if you aren't farmed out to a private prison in Louisiana, where conditions are even worse.
Better yet, just don't rob, at all!
Also if you kill someone and feel bad about it.
