I hope this isn’t the end of it. They were killed for blocking bittorrent before so i hope a change in TOS doesn’t alleviate them of the problem. I hope they still get sued for not providing adequate service and/or blocking of valid services. Just like a TOS should not allow them to read your personal email and post it to a blog for everyone to read, they shouldn’t be allowed to do this simply by changing their TOS
I guess if you’re stuck in a promotional package billing contract for two years you could get out of it and switch to a real ISP without paying an early termination fee due to material changes in the terms of service.
It took them 8 months to change their TOS. Retroactivity?
The TOS outlines that subscribers are entitled to run lawful applications and services. What are they going to do with the illegal peer to peer (P2P) downloaders running limewire, eDonkey and the likes. Will they shut them down?
