@twoply: In this case, it's more likely an employee made a mistake. Something along the lines of punching in "909" instead of "900", and then not clearing the old input before correcting. So, a $9.00 shirt gets marked as $9099.00.
I don't think hearing about stupid employees ever gets old.
@twoply: You know, there are a lot of Consumerist posts that I skim past because they don't particularly interest me. I'm not sure why you can't do the same.
@BobCoyote: I suspect that they went to enter $9.99 using the numberpad, and they accidentally hit the rather large 0 key instead of the decimal point since the two are adjacent to each other.
