Huh? Enterprise called it an upgrade above mid, and you call it a monstrosity? As the happy owner of a sporty 2-door Mitsubishi Eclipse I can only conclude some other manufacturer also has an "Eclipse"...

15% off is their standard "I Goofed" or "The car screwed up" discount. I've gotten that twice in my travels, first with a Cobalt that was used by a previous renter to smuggle drugs in, residue in the trunk made the drug dog at the border inspection station get excited, but none found. The second time was a Grand Prix that decided that it was unwell, and lit the "Check Engine" indicator. 150 mile drive to home with that on, I don't think so. Swapped out at a local dealer for a slate Altima that was sweet.
Enterprise has been good company for me in my commutes (I travel 200+ miles on regular commutes to branch offices). If they don't have the reserved vehicle in stock they will upgrade you to the next size up. I rented a mid and wound up with a monstrosity called the Eclipse. I should have taken a cargo van instead of dealing with a busybody of a cockpit.
