What the fuck?
Countrywide? Don’t be foolish.
Everyone knows that in January of 2009 GWB is heading back to the pig farm in Crawford to clear some brush.
Yeah, I can’t imagine any viable corporation hiring Dubya. Maybe as a figure head without any authority whatsoever, just to pay him back for all those wonderful no-bid contracts.
Random question: Is Blair Catholic yet?
GWB already announced his intentions. He’s going to “replenish the ol’ coffers.” He’s going to do speaking engagements for a while. While many of us may not want to hear him, there are plenty of fundies, hyperneocons, etc. that would gladly pay the $500 to hear him tell us that his greatest accomplishment as president was catching a big fish [also no lie, that was his response].
After that he’ll probably be a figurehead of a think tank [insert joke here] and maybe serve on a few boards. I just don’t think he’s going to try to build houses for poor people, mediate peace talks, provide money for AIDS and the environment, etc. like some previous presidents, despite being “saved” and a “compassionate conservative”
@ARP:
Blair officially converted just before Xmas.

At least Blair pretends to be working, and will in theory contribute to society.
Unlike most other leaders who pretend to be retired and then speechify.
