So, the price was wrong after all! I knew it!
Well, it looks like Drew Carey’s reign of terror has begun.
Umm…this story took place in 2004. That was still very Bob Barker time.
That actually does sound like a new GTO to me.
“The price is wrong, bitch!”
oh please, get over it.
did she win “A NEW CAR!!!” or “a Pontiac GTO!!”. Looks like a replay of the episode is in order – followed by a lawsuit of course.
When I was on, an older lady won a new car. She received a voucher for said car and was to pick it up at a local dealership. If this is the case, she should be going after the dealer.
I, however, missed my chance at a new car by blowing the bid in the showcase showdown.
wouldnt it be funny if her kid or someone wrecked it and tried to cover it up?
@Yankees368: Details make the headline uninteresting.
@Yankees368: That’s what Bob Barker does to contestants who don’t neuter their pets.
I wonder what the taxes and license fee cost. Based on a new car price or a wrecked car price.
@wring: You should “get over it” when a totalled car was resold as new to an unsuspecting customer? (they advertise these as new on the show).
This is outright fraud, of the financial and title sorts. I’d be talking to a lawyer here. Who knows what kind of safety violations were covered up by the shady repair shop?
@ouphie: This would make sense, which would push more of the problem towards the dealership and not the show.
More details are needed for this. As it is, it’s just playing the blame game.
Well, the car was new
To her, anyway.
Right?
If you listen, Rod Roddy said “A brand used Car!!”. Just like Bush ’41 said, “No Blue Faxes”.
@seawallrunner:
Doesn’t matter. She paid taxes and fees on it as if it were worth as much as a car that hadn’t been in an accident.
Why is this news now if it happened in 2004?
