In for a hideous jacket!
Hideous jackets. LOL
Just fair warning. I had problems with my car having a dead battery randomly (turned out to be a problem w/ stereo wiring) when I’d get back to the parking lot at the end of the day. I bought one of the Black & Decker BB7B Simple Start boxes hoping it’d be my saving grace. It “boosts” your car by plugging into the cigarette plug and pushing power rather than pulling it. I have a 2004 Ford Focus and it doesn’t work. It seems my car just wouldn’t allow the power to be pushed in (probably to prevent a circuit overload). I spent a cold 3 hours in an empty parking lot waiting for a jumpstart
The product is a great idea but it probably doesn’t work on every car, so you might want to check before dropping your $50. Black & Decker also makes what is essentially a car battery with two jumper cables on it, under the Simple Start line. This works on every car, and is probably a safer bet if you plan on relying on something for an emergency jump.
That jacket is just awesome! I should buy it just on the off chance I ever go to an 80′s themed party.
Damn the filters at my work. Is the jacket the one with the neck strap and shoulder tabs?
I’m so all over those jackets… one of each, please.
I like the black jacket with the purple shoulders too.
You know what 80′s clothing I miss? Hypercolor shirts.
@AlteredBeast:
I remember those hypercolor shirts. I had a blue one. I’m not sure what happened to it.
As for the booster pack, read the reviews. It sucks. You can go to your local auto parts store and get a decent one that clips onto your battery (or appropriate boosting points under the hood) for roughly the same price.
@mopar_man: Some modern cars DON’T allow you to access both battery terminals, and I’m sure there are times when we wouldn’t want our loved ones fumbling under a hood trying to figure things out while someone sneaks up on them. This allows you to just sit in the safety of your car and boost your battery. I knew someone who ran a small fleet of vans, and most of them could not be jumped easily due to hidden terminals on the battery. And with 54 4+ star ratings, and only 27 1-2 star ratings, I wouldn’t say it sucks.
