Um... sometimes power tools are expensive, but necessary for a project. You can rent one for a day or two MUCH cheaper than you could buy, especially if you'll likely not need it again in the future. I somehow doubt they're renting screwdrivers.
We also have a tool consignment shop in town, which is a pretty damn cool idea.
@DrGirlfriend: I was hoping there was at least one other person who got the humor. I was starting to worry.
I see this sort of humor in signs all over, but I don't get why it's on Consumerist. It's funny if you get it, but it's not really relevant to the site.
@Consumerist Moderator - ACAMBRAS: There isn't one just for Home Depot, but there are tools designed for women. They tend to be a little smaller, and well, pink.
@nytmare: I think they just rinse them, then put a little plastic over them that says "sanitized for your protection". Disgraceful.
renting... if a power tool is old and not maintained properly, they tend to vibrate violently, or the fact it is an old model is a cause, I have a power drill from the 1990s that rumbles like nuts, its humongous, but the plus is that its strong and gets the job done, ladies love a job well done... XD

You have a problem with their policy of not taking merchandise into the restroom?
