Am i the only person that doesn't care about this at all? The planes fly themselves anyway

Anyone with the ability to override the plane's control to see how close they can clip a tourist attraction is my primary concern while being flown or visiting said attraction.

I just can't imagine why this is a recurring thing. If you're a pilot, what makes you think you can fly a plane when you're sloshed.

I can't imagine they don't know when they're going to fly out, so they would have little excuse for drinking before take-off.

Driving to my destination looks more and more appealing every time I see an airline horror story on Consumerist.

@Segars: The same thing that makes car drivers think they can drive when they're sloshed.. Some even think their better drivers..

@mopar_man: That London to Miami trek is one hell of a drive, bro. Better bring along some good music and plenty of snacks.

It especially sucks trying to do that drive across the Bering Strait. If you don't hit that pack ice just right, you're done for.
