39 Million People Are Traveling Today
If you're traveling today, you'll have some company: 39 million other people, according to USAToday:
"An estimated 38.7 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home this Thanksgiving, an increase of 1.5% over last year, according to AAA. Most, about 31.2 million, will go by road, says the auto club formerly known as the American Automobile Association."
A lot is said about flying today, but since most of you will be driving—please remember to drive safely!
Remember: Turkey doesn't taste as delicious at the hospital.

@Jeff_McAwesome: Ouch I hear ya. I'm hoping to slink down 355 tomorrow morning after everyone else has gone...
@Jeff_McAwesome: Oh man! I tried to get out of DC one year at 4pm. Took EIGHT HOURS to make a four-hour trip. Good luck and safe journey!
I second the idea of trying for tomorrow ridic early. T-day morning the roads are empty and it makes for a nice drive.
@CaffeinatedSquint: Lol yep I got to work with enough time to stop and pick up breakfast. Now hopefully we will go home early(crosses fingers). And no I don't work retail either.

That's 38.7 million people for the whole Thanksgiving weekend, not just today. I would think that a large portion of those people have already gone where they needed to go on Friday-Tuesday.
At least that is what I keep telling myself. Getting out of Chicago at 4:00 PM is not going to be fun.
