the irony of Walmart Morning Deal is not lost on me
I’m not much of a grammar Nazi but: Plastma ?
Wow – Wal-Mart “Secret” deals…….. which is being advertised on the main Wal-Mart page.
I’ll have to check some reviews on that plasma. Can’t imagine it being to great, its a Sanyo.
@coan_net: I think the word secret here is referring to the fact that Wal-Mart threatened legal action against anyone who dared to post their ad on the internet.
Does anyone know how to get the details on the laptop? Clicking on it doesn’t give any details.
@fluiddruid: It’s an Acer. I would imagine the best way to get it would be to spend the extra money and buy a real laptop. Not that I’ve ever owned one, but I know two people who have and they were bar none, the worst computers I have ever seen.
@fluiddruid: I 2nd this question. An item # or something might be nice.
@GitEmSteveDave: OK, I found this on yahoo news. Some basic specs. Might help in finding out more.

Don’t forget the $98.87 HD DVD player!
That price is $200 less than the MSRP!
@GitEmSteveDave:
I don’t see any specs on that page.
OK, after over an hour on the phone to 6 WalMarts, one for 45 minutes alone(which I got hung up on over 6 times), it is an Acer Aspire 5315(and I also got #ICL50). Hope this helps everyone. I was just happy to get the model #, I didn’t ask about specs. Apparently they are under wraps in the back, and most of the store has NO access to them. In searching for the term acer and ICL50, I found this which has specs:

@GitEmSteveDave: Yuck, Celeron.
A better deal on an inexpensive laptop: Aldi has a Medion branded laptop for $599, with a 1.7 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-53 Dual-Core processor, 2048 MB RAM, 160 GB Western Digital hard drive, etc. I bought a Medion desktop from them about 5 years ago and have been very, very happy with it. They are limited to stock on hand as it’s a special buy thing, but well worth it if you can find it, IMO.
anybody else pissed at this coupon-downloader?
