A increase in spammers trying to capitalize on the housing crisis can mean only one thing: spammers can read newspapers. [Symantec]

@synergy: my recommendation? If at all possible - collect and send your work email through a Gmail account (it can do this for any POP3). Somehow, it has NEVER failed me with letting in spam messages. It even lets through the personal messages that get labeled as "spam" by our server, which we used to have to dig through the spam folder daily to find, then whitelist. No more!

It's worse. Researchers have found that Viagra helps cure jetlag in hamsters. Spammers are retooling to flood... er... target the critters.
