British Airways had the ability to sell this passenger's lost folding chiropractic table, but not the inclination to Google "Dr. Marta Callotta, Sports Chiropractic" imprinted on the front of it it to return it to it's rightful owner. [Elliot via Rick Seany]

Avoid Heathrow. Lost luggage is stacked up everywhere. The UK media have been all over this story for months, it's turning into a real scandal there. BA and Heathrow's new Spanish owners do not have enough staff or efficiency to handle the volumes of baggage, much less look for lost baggage. It is cheaper for BA to pay you off, auction your bag along with thousands of others auctioned off every month, than it is to look for your bag and face a possible lawsuit when it turns up. If, while your bag was sitting around lost in the terminal, someone rifled through it and stole something, you could sue BA for theft. This way, they pay you off, they're no longer liable, and it's adios amigos.

Ow. Those things are not cheap at all.
