FedEx Package Signed For By Mysterious "LOLDLADY"

Reader Nick sent us the tracking info on his FedEx package. He’s not home right now, but he knows that a mysterious stranger has signed for his package. The tracking info shows the person’s name as “LOLDLADY.” Nick writes:

I’ve been waiting for a FedEx package and apparently it was delivered today while I wasn’t home and signed for by “LOLDLADY” (an abbreviation for little old lady maybe?). Either way, I just thought this was funny considering FedEx will usually enter the name of the person who signed for the package and not just a description like this.

Now I get to deal with the fun part of getting home from work and figuring out which of the many old ladies that live in my building signed for my package.

Nick, that’s hilarious. Good luck finding her.

    Typo for “landlady” maybe?

Does Fedex use qwerty keyboards? the O is nowhere near the A if they do. *shrug* typos seem hard when you have a qwerty, especially if the “keyboard” is a screen you type on with a stylus, if it is that instead of a physical keyboard with buttons.

    At least it wasn’t “OLDHAG”

    Typo for LOLCATS.

My last FedEx delivery was signed for at the door of my house, while I was at work. And I live alone….

Or you can place the onus on FedEx to figure out who signed for it. They didn’t get a name. Thats their responsability. They’re still on the hook here.

Loldlady is a very common family name in Milwaukee.

    In the image, it says

FedEx trackers don’t have QWERTY, it’s abc… I haven’t played with the new ones, but I’m quite sure the PowerPad has a similar layout. On the old trackers it was really easy to fat-finger in entries, especially if you have fat fingers like myself.

LOL D Lady – as in, D-cup. Any large-breasted woman in your complex?

lol’d lady? Maybe /lol’d/ is acting as a participle here?

I’d love to see signature and/or know what actually had happened… do we have any resolution?

Ah, hahahahaha! It is NOT! :D

I sign for things at work, occasionally and I just sign my last name. The FEDEX guy is indignant and won’t go away because he HAS to have my first name.

First, I told him, I’m the only one here with that last name.

Then I told him I only one name, like Madonna.

Then I told him to go get screwed.

I don’t think this is too much of a mystery.

My guess is that “Landlady” was hand written into the scanner and they OCR it. And it was probably written sloppily so the recognition program got it wrong.

I don’t know that they use OCR for the signatures, but just my guess!
