“Officials at Nepal’s state-run airline have sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god, following technical problems with one of its Boeing 757 aircraft, the carrier said Tuesday.” It also fixed the plane in a more mechanical way, but has declined to say what was wrong with it. Hey, at least they’re trying SOMETHING! American and United would just blow off technical problems.
I want to see Marion Blakey come out during a press conference, rip the head off of a live squirrel and proclaim the nation’s air traffic control problems officially over.
Atleast they didn’t blame the weather!
So they did this in-flight? Cuz that would be WAY better than the in-flight movie!
Ozzy Osbourne could bite the head off a random animal on behalf of the US airlines… anything might help, really, seeing as the airlines aren’t doing much.
Replace ‘goat’ with ‘manager’ and you might be on to something…
It would take the population of all the world’s zoos to fix the US airlines.
“Nepal’s state-run airline.” ‘Nuff said.
Interesting to note: Saudi Arabia airlines has a pre-flight prayer. The flight safety record of the airline is actually very good, but there is something slightly disconcerting for a Godless heathen like me to hear “allah u-akhbar” over the loudspeaker before taking off. Though I suppose this makes it the airline least likely to be hijacked by self-righteous, murderous Islamist douchebags. (Not to be confused with Muslims in general, please.)
cue PETA…
