Is China Going To Execute Lead-Toy Vendors?

1693 views

Chinese officials have announced that they will "severely" punish the vendors responsible for the recent lead-tainted toy snafu. That leads us to ask, what do they consider severe punishment? Remember what they did to the director of the food and drug agency for accepting poisoned toothpaste bribes? And the new state-sponsored video game "Incorruptible Fighter", where players get to execute corrupt officials with magic or weapons, is so popular that it's been downloaded over 100,000 times.

Most at risk for China's severe punishments are the people at Lee Der Industrial Company, the manufacturer fingered by Mattel yesterday as being responsible for the 967,000 toy recall.

"Incorruptible Fighter"
Wow, a state-sponsored video game about killing corrupt executives...That's pretty crazy!

Death by Lead Poisoning would be the appropriate karmatic return.

why do we still do business with psychotic country? We spend all this time saying how bad the middle east is? I think china is worse, they are just better at playing it off

Killing them isn't gonna make the situation any better.
Its a broken system.

@agent2600: We're addicted to the cheap, poisonous crap they're selling. We can't afford to piss them off. And, unlike every Middle Eastern country except Pakistan, the Chinese have nuclear weapons, so we can't afford to make them our new global superpower enemy.

@Toof_75_75: Ahh too bad we can't play that in real life . I would love to be the one to off these scum suckers. But lets not exclude the US execs we need to whack a few of them too..you know just to send a message.@agent2600: I agree.

@pestie: They already are. They have been since about ohh a day after we helped to throw the Japanese out of China.

@agent2600: they control the value of our currency. the chinese have something like 40% of U.S. debt. we are their bitches.

If the death penalty is meant as a deterrent, this is the proper way to use it. You don't kill people who have nothing to live for, you kill people who have everything to lose, and then put them up on a stick as an example to the rest. Where's the CEO of Haliburton about now? Oh yeah, hiding.

@Mom2Talavera: I bet they will start thinking about being a little safer if the govt. starts killing people for stuff like that. I find it hard to believe it wont help.

@DashTheHand:
A firing squad would count as high-velocity lead poisoning, don't you think?

user-pic

So, they're not just planning to let them go with reduced stock options and an updated copy of "What Color Is Your Parachute"?
Rock on, crazy Chinese dudes.

user-pic

Are they going to execute the cardboard company executives, or the bankrupt company executives?

I really feel and wish that we executed corrupt business people here in the States.

@agent2600: You call China psychotic for being harsh on corruption because you've never lived nor visited, much less suffered in a country where this kind of evil (corruption) is endemic.

I live in a country where corruption is everywhere, where the pigs people vote for fly around the world on first class tickets using tax money, drive around in BMW's (with another Porsche in the garage), live in huge mansions while the regular guy lives like a #$%ing animal, and some can't even afford a shirt and walk around like barbarians, eat only once a day and have kids who have to beg in the streets.

To tell you the truth, to LET THE CORRUPT LIVE is far more cruel that to immediately execute them in the worse possible manner as their continued existence in whatever land they live in spreads a miasma of grinding suffering and condemn thousands to a slow, agonizing death from their corrupt ways. Be thankful that you don't have to suffer the arrogance and sick mind of the corrupt politician, but for pete's sake don't cry about the deaths of these subhuman monsters and act like this is some marvelous statement for human rights!

No wonder no one's commented after that last one...

All I was going to say was that China has the U.S. economy by the 'nads, so besides people wanting cheap products fast, there's that reason too for not breaking up with China.
