I don't agree with this statement, you have to be doing somthing honerable in the first place to be dishonored, it should read that the evil lying government officals that get caught by the public commit suicide to advoid torture by china's lovely government, who creates a spectical when nessacary to bring the publics eye away from whats really going on.

Suicide as in "Here's a gun so you can shoot yourself or we can hold a trial, find you guilty, shoot you and then send the bill to family for the trial and bullet?"

You've got to admit it's a great justice system. Imagine if the Enron boys, the Global Crossing guys, The Healthsouth dudes all chose suicide. Think of all the tax dollars we would save attempting to bring these money grubbing SOB's to trial.

I am torn. Ask US execs to adopt this or question the Chinese for thinking this solves anything.

Maybe just oodles of class action suits for every US company selling dangerous products would spur some responsibility at least from the US companies to quit looking the other way.

I would pay double the price for toys I knew were made under controlled and monitored conditions here in the states.

Sorry to be totally off-topic, but does anyone else think this line's funny? "Associated Press Writer Dikky Sinn in Hong Kong contributed to this story." It doesn't sound like an actual Cantonese name so I think he actually picked that name.

I wish that this tactic would be adopted by these Chinese Poison Train conductors before they put millions of contaminated products out there into the market.

No matter what, though, this guy took the coward's way out. He cheated his customers, endangered consumers, and then copped out of everything by killing himself. "Dishonored" is a weak word to describe this piece of garbage.

@axiomatic: Completely right, we reward corrupt CEOs in America. It is only when they get caught or when someone needs a good news story that a corrupt CEO gets outed or punished.

I don't have a problem with corrupt business people killing themselves when they royally mess up. None what so ever. In fact, I think there are many many times where people should kill themselves in order to maintain dignity to their family's name *or something like that anyway*.
