20,000+ International Passengers Stranded In LAX
At one point, airlines were given clearance to get fuel and food, but many airlines didn't take advantage of it, for whatever reason.
This is the third airport computer glitch of the summer causing massive delays. Maybe it's about time to get those machines some new punchcards.

LAX is one of the more inhospitable international airports.
Do they still have the 'nuns' begging for money right after you emerge from Customs? I always thought it was a nice touch to immediately assail jet-lagged and disoriented international arrivals with some sketchy 'charity' begging.
Why in gods' names would anyone want to visit this country as a tourist?

US Customs and the Transportation Security Administration are two different entities. Take your preconceived angst elsewhere.
I prefer landing in Ontario.
That first image weirdly looks like Baghdad right before the bombing started in 2003.
Another reason the mind boggles at why we don't have transit lounges at major int'l airports like L.A., N.Y. or Miami.
Even a crowded terminal would be better than sitting on planes after a 10-15 hour flight. You can still bring food, water, and regular comforts people need.
