We're On CBS2 Los Angeles Tonight
Just did a phone interview with CBS2 in LA. Looks like they're picking up our Geek Squad sting operation story. The piece might air at 6, but it could be later, too. We know many of you are sick of hearing about it but there's a whole bunch of America that hasn't. A still image of monsieur Popken with a crackly phone conversation playing underneath shall be their reward.
This is a test using rich text formatting and html links. It's the generic "company" ad that should appear on all posts with the Company category if they don't have an ad attached to a specific company.

Advocacy blogs breaking through to the MSM means a wider audience for a real issue that consumers should know about. So kudos to C'ist for both the scoop and scoring airtime, and whatevers @ the haters; it should be enough that we readers heard the news weeks/months before anyone else.
My only complaint is that it seems this blog is only spotlighting Geek Squad and ignoring other services. I believe this to be an industry wide problem and before we crucify Geek Squad for lack of internal control, we should see if some of our energy should also be directed to the other large computer repair companies as well as the small independant ones.
I hope they use the photo of Ben making sweet love to his dollar bills.

Funny thing, I frequent this site but I just never read the Geek Squad story. I guess now is as good a time as any.
I saw a quick spot on one of the local LA stations. Guess there weren't enough murders or celebrities. Anyway, I guess the word "porn" was too much for them. Their lede was, "Geek Squad will sometimes steal your music and pictures."
Yeah, like anyone gives a damn about your Disneyland vacation pix, or grandma waving to the kids (unless she's like totally hawt).
Buncha weenies. Or nakkid hawt granny haterz. Not sure which.
