"Veggie Booty" Salmonella Outbreak Continues, More Children Sick
The FDA has announced that they have independently confirmed that the seasoning used in "veggie booty" is contaminated with salmonella. The outbreak, which has now sickened 61 children from 19 states, continues to grow. Please, stop feeding "Veggie Booty" to your children. Salmonella can cause serious infections that are sometimes fatal in young children.
If you see a store selling "Veggie Booty" or "Veggie Corn Tings," ask the manager to remove it from the shelf. Robert's American, the company that manufacturers the snacks, has ceased production. If you see "Veggie Booty" on the shelf, you can assume it is full of delicious salmonella.
The source of the contamination is thought to be spices imported from China by Atlantic Quality Spice & Seasonings of New Jersey.

Every time I see that name "veggie booty", I wonder how in the hell someone would want to eat something with a derivative of "ass" in the name.

@chimmike: I think the original meaning of booty was something along the lines of treasure and the "ass" meaning is the later derivative one.
I guess in Atlantic's case, "Quality" is spelled "Uality."
You know what the sad part is? I know the owner of the company. He lives down the block from me, about 4 houses.
He Had it Coming and I hope he gets sued for $100 million.
He sued my village for being anti-semitic, for $90 million when he tried to open up a yuppie cafe. When in reality it was just the same pain in the ass village I had to go through to build an extension.
