Meet Amy, Flickr Intern #2

3011 views

We hired Amy Adoyzie to help out with our tagging photos in our Flickr pool, a magical place where readers submit photos for possible use in our posts.

She just spent the last year as a volunteer English teacher in rural Hunan, China and is spazzing out about being unemployed when she returns to Portland, Oregon. Aside from uploading thousands of photos to Flickr, she's also busy updating her blog amyadoyzie.com and writing columns and designing for a good ol' fashioned paper magazine called Razorcake.

We're stoked to be expanding our photo-rocking powers. Everyone give Amy a big welcome!

Congrats on the job!

Hmm. So what I hear you saying, Ben, is that if we don't tag our Flickr photos correctly, Amy is going to hunt us down and kill us like the miserable vermin we really are. Am I correct in this assessment?

user-pic

what are you planning on shooting.

user-pic

welcome aboard

don't fucking touch anything...even if it belongs to you

=P

user-pic

Congrats on the job from a fellow (former) Portlander!

user-pic

Is that an open Budweiser can in the background? And keep your damn finger out of the trigger guard when posing with firearms - your non-dead friends will appreciate it should you stumble.

user-pic

Congratulations!

Be careful with that revolver though, I can't ENTIRELY tell from the picture but it looks like you might want to be more mindful of trigger control.

Remember folks, OUTSIDE the trigger guard at all times unless you're ready to fire!

user-pic

A gun, a truck and beer.

Ah, the American dream on display!

user-pic

I kick ass, take pictures and then tag them appropriately. The new menace to society.

And that's TWO cans of opened Bud. Both in cozies, to keep them refreshingly cold.

user-pic

@amyadoyzie:
1st rule of gun safety: Treat every gun as if it is loaded.

user-pic

Haha that picture is simply amazing. I'd hire her, too!

user-pic

@automatic_blue: Naturally, someone comes along and nitpicks something totally irrelevant to the matter at hand...

user-pic

Amy, thank you for showing us the ultimate consumer conflict resolution tool. You may get 5-10 in the big house but damn it, you will get your refund!

user-pic

1 See three cans of bud. One in the backpack/cooler?

user-pic

Wow, a cute red-neck asian chick with a gun. Sounds like a Penthouse Forum subject line...

user-pic

All guns are always loaded.

user-pic

I think you're the first Portlander I've met that's actually been worried about being unemployed when they get back to town...

user-pic

I can see from the photo you are going for a more of a Red State demographic now. Good marketing move.

user-pic

Congrats from a current fellow Portlander.

p.s. Please don't shoot me.

user-pic

Don't want to piss-off Amy, she will hunt you down!!!

user-pic

way to go amy... tag away...

user-pic

It is nice to see that yet another person has left the United States Postal Service for a more relaxing job.

user-pic

Is that a gun in her hand or is she just happy to see me?

No, that's a gun....

user-pic

Glad to see someone not afraid of guns, but there's a HEALTHY fear of guns here. Get the finger off the trigger! (Rule #3: Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target & you're ready to shoot.) Unsafe!

user-pic

I read Amy's comment...Amy, Rule #1. Treat all guns as if they were loaded. No one was ever accidentally shot by an unloaded gun!

user-pic

If you've ever heard of a Chinese Redneck ...

user-pic

Like the others have already said: Bad trigger discipline! Isn't that the first thing taught to all shooters? At least it was the first thing taught to me. Assume all guns are loaded!

Beer, gun and a truck. Hmm.

user-pic

The picture reminds me of an old RPG.

Macho Women With Guns

Yay for Amy!!! Very sexy with the gun.
