I bet that $35 DVD player is a quality item.
@mopar_man: Well, it’s a Coby, so you know you’re getting off-brand quality. It’s no Sorny, though, so I wouldn’t spend more than $35 for it.
AAGH!! Enough with the Tiger Direct scams already!!!
If people want to buy from Tiger Direct, that’s fine with me. I just hope they realize what they’re getting into.
Here’s their unsatisfactory rating from the BBB, for a start.
Tiger Direct has a very long history of failing to honor rebates, of fraudulently misrepresenting products, of disappearing warrantees sometime after you click on “Buy,” among other things.
Be aware that the 23W CFL bulbs at Amazon are bigger than a standard light bulb. They work great but won’t always fit into a closed fixture. They sell some 13W “mini” bulbs by the same company that are small enough and are equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb. I haven then all over my house.
@spanky:
I knew there was a reason I never wanted to buy from them.
