To clarify: this ruling says that manufacturers can require retailers to sell their product at a minimum price. This does not say that retailers can collude with other retailers or manufacturers with other manufacturers to set a minimum price.
This is like Apple saying AT&T cannot sell the iPhone (to pick an example that is EVERYWHERE) for less than $500. It doesn't say that Walmart and Target can agree to sell iPods for at least a certain amount.




Oh, well, I guess we'll just have to restrain ourselves when something we want (as opposed to something we NEED) costs too damn much. You can't send a message to manufacturers when you're selling yourself into debt slavery to buy their crap.
What this will do to the price of toilet paper and medical equipment, though, I shudder to think.
