A guy may come to your door pitching the fabulous savings you'll get by switching to an energy reseller. But before you sign on the line which is dotted, ask these questions:
• Are the prices fixed, or will they fluctuate based on market factors?
• Is a longer-term contract available with a lower price?
• Are there monthly service charges?
• Do the prices include taxes?
• Are there contract termination fees?
• Will supply and delivery charges be combined on one bill or will there be two bills?
• Does it require a security deposit?

Or, an even better solution, don't buy things from uninvited door to door sales reps.
Considering the money-hungry and desperate "contractors" they have working for them, they'll probably just mislead or outright lie to you even with a concise list like that.
Did you have to use a picture from that "Door to Door" movie? That's a sad story (about a guy with cerebral-palsy who works as a door-to-door salesman until he's like 69... 'based on a true story' and all that).
