I don’t understand why anyone would by a combo machine. If one of the functions dies, you’ve got 1/3 lemon on your hands and taking up space.

I have an HP PSC 500 that I bought in 2001. One reason I bought it is the space — it takes up a lot less room than separate printer, scanner, and copier would take up. I’ve been lucky — it hasn’t given me any problems.
My dad just bought a printer/scanner/copier/fax combo, and the prices have come down a LOT.
Wow. Thanks Consumerist. I just bought those JBL speakers, and with a deal Google was running, if you used its checkout feature you got ten more bucks off. So i got those nice speakers that can run in the 80 bucks range for only 34.99. Seriously. Consumerist rocks.
