And don't lose the keys to your safe if you do.
Yeah, we lost 'em. Fortunately, I saved the instructions, which had the key type and the company's website on the back, so I was able to order replacements.
But for a little while, we thought we'd have to call a locksmith if we ever wanted to see our SS cards and marriage license again...




Or, if you're cheap like me, put your birth certificate, passport and social security card in a plastic bag in the freezer. Freezer beats fire!
