Lee County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a robbery suspect who held a man up at gunpoint last week in a Burger King parking lot, then ditched the gun in a toilet tank in another restaurant, authorities said.

The assailant then sprinted across the freeway into a fast-food restaurant on St. Mary’s Road, where he was arrested this morning in its walk-in freezer.
“Heck yeah, I was scared,” Nadi Jones, 17, said as she held her year-old daughter in her arms. “It was crazy as hell.”
Another passenger, Vietnam War veteran Fred Blake, 56, summed it up: “That’s crazy, man.”

But the 18-year-old lost control of his vehicle and sent the victims, who were aged 15 and 16 at the time, through the window of the Pizza Hut restaurant.
