Walmart Disney Princesses Easter Basket Recalled For Choking Hazard

A Disney Princesses Easter basket sold exclusively at Walmart has been recalled by the CPSC today. The silver beads and ribbons attached to the basket can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. Parents can return the basket to Walmart for a full refund.

If you see any on the shelf at Walmart, you might want to (politely) tell a manager. We all know how well their recall system works. —MEGHANN MARCO

This is very painful for me to share but when I was about 7-8 years old I had an awesome Curious George stuffed animal. After weeks of bonding my mother said that it had been recalled! Apparently the writing on his chest which said "Curious George" contained lead paint. (yes I remember this) Now even if I was sucking wildly on these letters I doubt I could contaminate even a mosquito with the amount of "paint" on the animal. And naturally i did not suck on my stuffed animals anyway making this whole thing quite ridiculous. After many tears my mother confiscated George and it was never replaced. Long story um well long, Damn you CPSC I WANT MY CURIOUS GEORGE BACK YOU HEARTLESS BASTARDS!!

I think Wal-Mart is the heartless bastards here.

oh for pete's sake, all parents have to do is remove the ribbons and beads. It's a lot less trouble than making another trip to Walmart.

oh... maybe that was the whole idea.

Am I the only person that thinks that keeping this on the market is a GOOD idea? Lil 7-year-olds hoarding Princess Castles evolve to baby pagent queens, to Sparkle Motion middle school dancers, and in no time, it's all strawberry-flavored cocaine and flashing their hooch as they exit their SUVs sans panties.

Mean Girls suck. Break the cycle now!

@trai_dep: I'm beginning to question your commitment, to Sparkle Motion.
