Airlines will start turning their airplanes into WiFi hotspots beginning early next year, WSJ reports.

Here's what you need to know:

• Provider: AirCell
• Cost: < $10
• Speed: "Similar to WiFi on the ground" (whatever that means)
• VoIP: Blocked
